Okay, so I got a new hobby/addiction. This one at least gets me out of the house, which is a good thing. It's called 'GeoCaching'.
Geocaching is an outdoor treasure-hunting game in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers (called “geocaches” or “caches") anywhere in the world. A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook and “treasure,” usually toys or trinkets of little monetary value. Today, well over 410,000 geocaches are currently placed in 222 countries around the world, which are registered on various websites devoted to the sport.

I got started because I'm planning a trip to Yosemite, in a week or two. Now, I really do like being Outside, but I'm such a 'goal oriented' person, that I really need to have goals to get me out hiking through nature. Geocaching is perfect. I always wanted to be Indiana Jones.
One of the great things about it is that once you tell people what your doing, everyone wants to join you. Which is a great way to spend an afternoon with friends. While I personally am not a big collector of things from caches, I really just like the Hunt, and finding places in San Diego, I've never been before.
Plus, there is the I can be techinally geeky, and be outside. It's a Win-Win as far as I'm concerned.
